Impressive....Dude

When I got home last night, I noticed several flyers attached to my front door.  I assumed they were for pizza delivery and put them aside.  I took a second look before I went to bed...they were coupons for mens/boys haircuts.  You've probably noticed that Given is in serious need of a haircut, so I grabbed the coupon for a free haircut as I walked out the door this morning.  I figured we would have time to stop in for a haircut on the way home.

Although traffic was crazy and it took us well over an hour to get home, we were able to walk into the salon.  Dude.  If I were a dude, I would TOTALLY get my hair cut at this place.  It's probably no big news to anybody else, but I'm a girl, so this place was - obviously - not on my radar.  

Anyway...the name of the place (I hesitate to use the word 'salon' any further in reference to this place of business) is SportClips (www.sportclips.com).  It's a 'hair cutting place' designed for men.  Big screen TVs hang in every corner --- and at every hair cutting stahl --- so nobody misses any part of the big game.  Seriously...can you think of a better idea....for a dude...than to go get a haircut while be ENCOURAGED to watch the sports channel on your personal TV?  There are team pendants on the walls, autographed photos of teams and sports stars, and even sports merchandise for sale in the waiting area...along with great hair care products for men.  The hairdressers are cute, too.  The ones in the store we visited had on referee shirts, jogging pants, and tennis shoes...simply adorable.

More importantly, Given was an absolute SUPERSTAR while he was in the chair.  He was extremely cooperative, calm, and obedient.  She could not BELIEVE he was only 2.  Yes...my guy IS a superstar.  Needless to say, we'll be going back to SportClips...it was too much fun.
