Birthday Boy!!

Given asked months in advance if he could have his birthday party at CosmicJump. Thanks to his good behavior, he was able to invite all the boys from his Kindergarten class to the party. Most were able to attend, and they had a great time.

After much deliberation, window shopping, and a few taste tests, Given picked his cake from the Tom Thumb bakery: chocolate cake with chocolate icing. We surprised him by adding the birthday train for his 6 candles.

After all the jumping, Given and a few friends - Grayson, Elena, & Colson - went to Chick-fil-a to refuel. What a great group of kiddos!



With a huge pile of gifts to open, we followed one simple rule: You open a new gift as soon as you are ready to write the Thank You note...before you start playing with it! Given followed the rule, and the fun part was that it helped spread the gifts out over several days and he could really see and enjoy them rather than racing through a large pile all at once.



He loved the many, MANY legos he received, but one of the most exciting gifts was the real rocket he received from Uncle Dan, Auntie Martha, and cousins Ethan and Izak. He was also thrilled by his new electronic game, thanks to Grandma Susie, Mom, and Dad.
